Role Overview
We are in search of a Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership and direction for our operational initiatives. This role is critical in enhancing Feeding America's capacity to deliver food assistance effectively across various communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer to formulate and execute strategies that optimize food procurement, distribution, and logistics.
- Oversee the operational planning process, ensuring alignment with Feeding America's mission and objectives.
- Lead a diverse team of operational directors, focusing on food sourcing, logistics management, supply chain efficiency, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Engage with program teams to enhance service delivery and support for partner organizations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the operations team to better serve food-insecure populations.
- Manage facilities and equipment, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency.
- Play a pivotal role in the design and transition to new operational facilities, ensuring minimal disruption during the change process.
- Support fundraising efforts by engaging with donors and representing Feeding America in various forums.
