Position Summary

ROLE SUMMARYThis role supports the General Manager (GM) in managing specific components of the operational activities. Responsibilities may encompass financial oversight, product management, inventory control, staffing, sales initiatives, and marketing strategies. The objective of this position is to uphold exceptional standards and foster a positive environment for the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the complete operation of the facility during assigned shifts.
  • Aim for operational excellence that meets or surpasses customer expectations in quality, service, and ambiance, delivering value through an outstanding experience at a reasonable cost.
  • Accurately execute assigned tasks such as inventory management, cash handling, and product ordering.
  • Assist the GM in prioritizing Food Safety as the primary training focus within operations.
  • Ensure that proper hygiene practices, product rotation, and temperature monitoring are consistently implemented.
  • Model and enforce safe food handling protocols.
  • Maintain a secure, safe, and healthy work environment by establishing, adhering to, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures, complying with health regulations, and maintaining security measures.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies such as workplace accidents or security incidents.
  • Ensure that shift leaders and team members are well-trained and knowledgeable in all operational systems, product recipes, food safety standards, and safety practices.
  • Incorporate all operational systems into daily restaurant functions, setting each shift up for success.
  • Ensure customer service in all areas meets or exceeds company benchmarks.
  • Establish protocols for the management team and staff to address customer inquiries.
  • Promptly and effectively resolve customer complaints to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Recognize the significance of service speed and address workflow bottlenecks.
  • Build rapport with returning or preferred customers.
  • Assist in executing the business strategy as directed by the GM, taking guidance from the owner and other business consultants.
  • Understand how to address issues impacting the facility's profitability, such as analyzing costs and implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Support the GM in developing strategies to enhance average transaction values and increase customer visit frequency.
  • Contribute to achieving store goals by assisting the GM with recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing team members to create a skilled and efficient workforce.
  • Support the GM in comprehensive training and onboarding of new hires; clearly communicate job expectations; monitor performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Model and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of scheduling to meet staffing needs based on operational demands.
  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with all staff to promote a positive work environment that enhances employee morale and productivity.
  • Propose innovative ideas to management for attracting new customers and boosting sales through marketing initiatives.
  • May assist the GM with local marketing efforts and community engagement projects.
