Health Center Clinical Supervisor

Full Time | Day Shift | 8am-5pm | Monday-Friday

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is actively seeking a Clinical Supervisor for the LSS Health Center in Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Supervisor:

  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, regulatory standards, and applicable local, state, and federal laws, including those set by Ohio accrediting bodies and insurance providers such as Medicaid.
  • Oversee both dependently and independently licensed therapists delivering services through the program.
  • Provide direct care to clients facing co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including medical, dental, and vision professionals.
  • Engage with a diverse population, respecting various backgrounds and experiences.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring staff compliance with file updates and audits as required.
  • Adhere to ethical standards established by the relevant licensing board and the Ohio Code of Ethics.
  • Work alongside the Director of Clinical and Supportive Services to manage departmental operations.

Qualifications for the Clinical Supervisor Position:

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a PhD/PsyD in Psychology; or a related human services field is required.
  • Licensure as LPCC, LISW, IMFT; or as a Psychologist by the Ohio Psychology Board is mandatory.
  • Preferred qualifications include LISW-S, LPCC-S, IMFT-S, or Psychologist credentials.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a direct care role is essential.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience with direct reports is required.
  • Experience in conducting diagnostic assessments is necessary.
  • Familiarity with populations experiencing homelessness, behavioral health issues, substance abuse/addiction, and chronic physical disabilities is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in administrative reporting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in techniques and evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, Harm Reduction, and CBT is expected.
  • A valid Ohio driver's license, reliable insured transportation, and the ability to meet LSS insurance standards are required.
