Job Overview

Napa County Office of Education is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as an AmeriCorps Recruitment Fellow. This 11-month full-time position will provide capacity building support to the NCOE AmeriCorps programs, focusing on recruitment and retention strategies.

The successful candidate will work closely with the NCOE National Service team to expand community outreach, build social media presence, and promote the transformational impact of the program on populations with whom they serve.

This role requires a strong understanding of national service and community engagement principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to increase the capacity of AmeriCorps programs
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Design and implement social media campaigns to promote the program
  • Track and maintain data regarding progress towards achieving project outcomes
  • Provide follow-up information or support to potential candidates or applicants in the pipeline

Requirements:

  • Full-time, 11-month commitment serving a minimum of 1700 hours
  • Service term: February - December 2025
  • Hours are generally Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 5:00PM, 40-45 hours per week on average
  • Service hours are expected to occur in-person
  • Clear criminal background check (DOJ and FBI; National Sex Offender Public Database)
  • Provide proof of TB Test/clearance
  • Must have at least a high school diploma or a GED by start date
  • Must either be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
