Program Manager, Hartford Alternative in the Community

Community Partners in Action (CPA) is a pioneering organization dedicated to championing criminal justice reform and advocating for the dignity of individuals in and out of prison. With a rich history spanning nearly 150 years, CPA has established itself as a leader in providing holistic alternatives to incarceration and promoting positive change in society.

As a Program Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the direction and management of program activities and staff, ensuring fidelity to our program model. You will lead and facilitate regular management and staff meetings, as well as Service Team Meetings, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing leadership and supervision for direct reports
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of AIC staff
  • Ensure program compliance with funder contractual agreements
  • Conduct file reviews in accordance with program, agency, and funder guidelines
  • Maintain clear and open communication with referral sources and funders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five years of management experience
  • Minimum of three years supervising staff
  • Strong emotional intelligence, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and knowledge of cognitive-behavioral approaches
  • Demonstrates trauma-informed approaches and cultural responsiveness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual ability (Spanish/English)
