Job Summary:

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a skilled Nurse Educator - Heart Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff.
  • Assess learning needs and provide targeted training to meet the diverse requirements of our nursing team.
  • Ensure that all educational activities meet hospital and regulatory standards.

  • Support performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of a culture of excellence within the organization.

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Kansas.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on heart health.
  • Strong educational and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Cardiovascular certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

The University of Kansas Health System offers a competitive salary range of $93,000 to $125,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan. We also offer paid time off, holidays, and a generous tuition reimbursement program.
