In this role, you will actively communicate with the Physicians and work as a team to provide the best care for our patients.

A Registered Nurse in the emergency room demands an elevated level of clinical ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.

Responsibilities

An Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse plays a critical role in providing immediate and high-quality care to patients experiencing urgent and life-threatening conditions. As an Emergency Room Nurse, you are commonly responsible for bone setting, blood transfusions, wound care, and so much more. In this role, there is no fixed tasks, so it can be stressful but, rewarding at the same time.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Current and valid state RN License

Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current

Current PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 6 months of hire required

Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred

Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current

EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire

Non OB facilities: NRP (AHA) certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
