Job Summary

ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the FAA NAS ESS contract. The selected candidate will work as part of the Air/Ground Communication Engineering Team, providing technical expertise in the design, development, and testing of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Debug and conduct testing on complex systems, including both hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct testing of equipment and services.
  • Generate documentation for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and services.
  • Review and provide feedback on program-related documents.
  • Provide engineering consultations, investigations, and documentation of findings.
  • Develop briefings and presentations.
  • Research, design, development, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of integrated computer hardware and software systems.
  • Provide support utilizing languages such as LabVIEW, C, C++, Python, and shell script.
  • Prepare documents, give presentations, or briefings as needed.
  • Complete deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow technical documents and provide redlines.
  • Available to travel as needed.
  • Participate in and contribute to the existing mentoring program.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years.
  • Engineering and software development skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and scripts used in model and tool development.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Visual Basic, and/or Batch scripting.
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) and Electromagnetic Field (EMF) principles.
  • Experience with use of source control such as Git.
  • Ability to debug and conduct testing on complex systems, including both hardware and software.
  • Experience with networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with lab machinery, lab equipment, and soldering.
  • Experience with signal generators, oscilloscopes, and test equipment.
  • Solid background knowledge and skills in Computer/Electrical/Electronics Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills, including developing technical documentation.
  • Ability to pass an FAA background investigation.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited program in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Visual Basic, and/or Batch scripting.
  • Experience with use of source control such as Git.
  • Experience with networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with lab machinery, lab equipment, and soldering.
  • Experience with signal generators, oscilloscopes, and test equipment.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
