Position Summary: The Spice House is seeking a Retail Sales Supervisor who possesses a deep enthusiasm for spices and a results-driven mindset. This role involves motivating and guiding our team of Spice Merchants to meet sales objectives through outstanding customer interactions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance both personal and store sales performance through strategic selling techniques that engage and influence customer purchasing choices.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in a specialty food retail setting, utilizing effective problem-solving skills to address both internal and external challenges.
  • Establish rapport through meaningful conversations and genuine recommendations tailored to customer preferences and needs.
  • Exhibit confidence and initiative in training and mentoring the Spice Merchant team in a supportive manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and display areas.
  • Participate in daily operational tasks, including store opening and closing procedures, alongside fellow team leaders.
  • Assist in inventory management through our product management system, ensuring accurate organizational processes and proper execution of point-of-sale functions.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of retail experience or related roles; experience in store leadership or supervisory positions is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer skills and relevant technologies.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong dedication to customer service; a genuine interest in connecting with people is essential.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively when engaging with customers and facilitating sales.
  • Composed and professional, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and remain on foot for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work on weekends is required.
  • A passion for culinary arts and flavors is essential.
