Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate speech pathologist to join our team at Amedisys. As a speech pathologist, you will work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.

Responsibilities
  • Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify communication disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address communication disorders
Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Preferred: One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology
