About the RoleAs a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and be part of a cross-functional team of clinicians, including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Monitor and record patient statistics, observations, and hemodialysis machine setup
- Build long-term relationships with patients and educate them on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable working around blood and needles
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical and mental ability to work on your feet for extended periods
