Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team at The Children's Place. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facilities, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facility equipment, including conveyor systems, sorters, and ancillary equipment, to ensure that they are functioning properly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance-related issues in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring that our operations are not disrupted.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that our facilities and equipment are properly maintained and that potential issues are identified and addressed before they become major problems.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage and oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and that we are getting the best value for our money.
  • Health and Safety: Develop and implement health and safety programs to ensure that our facilities and equipment are safe and that our employees are protected from harm.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as facilities management or engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a distribution center environment.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor employees. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as PLC programming and MHE experience, is a plus.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work extended hours and travel occasionally, with a strong commitment to customer service and a focus on delivering results.
