Purpose Statement : Oversee, manage, and guide the organization and prioritization of repairs, upkeep, and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment.
Core Responsibilities : (not intended to be all inclusive)
Contribute to the formulation of a preventative maintenance strategy to guarantee uninterrupted production activities. Direct, plan, organize, assign, review, and assess the performance of team members. Examine operational machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with established standards. Analyze production, quality assurance, and maintenance documentation and metrics to adjust and enhance maintenance operations. Develop and manage the annual maintenance financial plan. Investigate and recommend optimal equipment and workforce utilization for cost efficiency. Compile and prepare operational reports for upper management review.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient understanding of maintenance methodologies and practices for manufacturing equipment. Familiarity with mechanical principles and theories. Awareness of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Insight into the mechanics of machinery. Knowledge of operation for packaging and processing equipment. Competence in crafting and delivering impactful presentations. Advanced computer proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access. Capability to direct, plan, organize, assign, review, and evaluate the performance of team members. Ability to interpret documents such as safety regulations, operational and maintenance guidelines, and procedural manuals. Skill in calculating financial metrics and evaluating equipment performance. Capacity to understand and comply with union agreements. Proficient in effective oral and written communication, including the preparation and presentation of information.Requirements :
Associate's degree in Industrial Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management for packaging and processing equipment. Experience with pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, electrical testing instruments, and the ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams. Experience in nondurable goods manufacturing is preferred.Work Environment:
The role is primarily conducted within a manufacturing setting.
