Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at ERP International. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. This includes monitoring and recording physiological measurements, orienting new patients, and assisting with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and nursing administrative duties for inpatients
  • Monitor and record physiological measurements
  • Orient new patients to the clinic/hospital environment
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Provide individualized patient teaching on preventative healthcare and health maintenance
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic testing, examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures
  • Perform appropriate portions of medical examinations, treatment, diagnostic, and clinical procedures
  • Record treatment, procedure rendered, and observed effects
  • Identify and record patient problems and notify provider/nursing team of observations
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures
  • Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations and initiate appropriate emergency interventions
  • Perform and complete specimen collections
  • Adhere to infection control procedures
  • Perform central sterile supply duties
  • Ensure all equipment is properly assembled, operates, cleaned, and stored
  • Perform medical records reviews and apply appropriate protocols and guidelines
  • Prepare and submit administrative reports
  • Participate in training and continuing education programs
  • Ensure a safe work environment and employee safe work habits
  • Establish and maintain appropriate, professional, interpersonal relationships
Qualifications:
  • Education: Certificate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational nursing program
  • Experience: Three years of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse
  • Life Support Certifications: BLS
  • Security: Ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance
