Pain Management Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Pain Management Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient services to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Coordinate patient care with members of the pain management team and perioperative team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Provide care within ethical and legal boundaries.
  • Work with MTF/clinic staff to ensure medication and supplies are replenished.
  • Perform and assist with procedures such as interventional pain procedures, bladder catheterizations, pulse oximetry, oxygen administration, EKGs, glucose testing, and other clinic-specific procedures.
  • Complete orientation and competency verification program in accordance with unit guidelines.
  • Place intravenous catheters to support procedural requirements.
  • Provide outpatient clinic support and support in pre- and postoperative care settings to recover patients in a phase 2 environment.
  • Record treatment, procedures rendered, and observed effects.
  • Provide individualized patient teaching on appropriate topics to include preventative healthcare and health maintenance.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures, including use of personal protective equipment, disposal of waste, and aseptic technique.
Qualifications:
  • Certificate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational nursing program.
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support and IV catheter placement.
  • One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation, with a minimum of 6 months of experience within the last year.
  • Permanent, full, and unrestricted Registered Nursing license to practice nursing in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
