Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at C4 Technical Services. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple Microsoft Dynamics 365 data migrations and a strong background in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and ETL activities that align with the overall project data migration plan.
  • Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the preparation and documentation of software requirements, functional and technical design specifications.
  • Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI systems, data pipelines, applications, and programs.
  • Develop the semantic layer, metadata, reports, and report definitions.

Technical Skills:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or 5+ years equivalent related IT experience.
  • 5+ years working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses.
  • 3+ years' experience with database and cloud platforms, SQL Server, SSIS and Azure preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis.
  • 3+ years utilizing in-house data-intensive applications for end user reporting and analytics, SSRS, PowerBI, Azure Data Studio and Factory preferred.
  • Familiarity with D365 Financial and Operations, Customer Experience data models.
  • Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
  • Proven project management experience.
