Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Researcher to join our team at the Department of Occupational Therapy in the College of Health Professions at Virginia Commonwealth University. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research to enhance knowledge in occupational therapy, including designing and conducting research studies, acquiring grant funding, overseeing research projects, and disseminating findings.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research to advance knowledge in occupational therapy
Design and conduct research studies
Acquire grant funding to support research projects
Oversee research projects and disseminate findings

Requirements

Earned research doctorate (PhD, ScD)
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in Virginia
Established research agenda and clear potential for external funding
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse environment for faculty, staff, and students

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at the graduate level
Record of external funding
