Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Mayo Clinic. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment throughout our facilities. This includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting, as well as other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting systems and equipment
  • Communicate with residents and staff prior to repairs being performed that will impact them
  • Participate on the construction and remodeling team
  • Work with fire suppression network software program
  • Utilize building automation software program and understand building systems
  • Coordinate building systems and perform preventative maintenance
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex maintenance and/or facility infrastructure issues
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years' experience working in mechanical, electrical, or painting maintenance
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two-year vocational course in Building Utilities Mechanics or equivalent
  • Minnesota Maintenance Electricians license or willingness to obtain
  • Universal Refrigeration Certification license or willingness to obtain
