Key Responsibilities

As the Heavy Equipment Operations Supervisor, your role will encompass the following duties:

  • Strategically plans, organizes, and supervises maintenance operations for roadways and timber access routes.
  • Ensures the effective use and upkeep of all assigned engineering and construction machinery and tools.
  • Develops and manages long-term operational plans and annual financial allocations.
  • Monitors program outcomes to ensure they align with budgetary constraints.
  • Executes supervisory responsibilities in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Operates various heavy machinery and vehicles for tasks such as clearing, grading, and maintaining road surfaces.
  • Responsible for the procurement of necessary supplies.

Qualifications

While there is no specified duration of qualifying experience or training, your resume must demonstrate sufficient experience to support the SCREEN-OUT Element: your capability to perform the duties of a Heavy Equipment Operations Supervisor with minimal supervision. Examples of relevant experience include:

  • Supervising the operation of heavy machinery such as road graders, bulldozers, and excavators in diverse terrains.
  • Planning daily tasks for crew and equipment, along with maintenance methodologies.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections on equipment and work sites.
  • Leading or training team members in the operation of engineering machinery.

Additional SCREEN-OUT Element:

A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements is required for this position. This license must be obtained prior to commencing duties.

Education

There are no educational prerequisites or substitutions for experience for this role.
