Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Newport Hospital and Health Services. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of medical claims to third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of charges on medical claims
  • Research and resolve denied or incomplete bills
  • Submit secondary claims, make claim adjustments, and correct claims as needed
  • Interact with patients to understand medical benefits and resolve billing complaints
  • Monitor Insurance EOB payments for accuracy
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Preferred: 2 or more years' experience in medical billing or a related field
