Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Services Concierge to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a Food Services Concierge, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality meals and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview and orient dietary staff for the dietary department
  • Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the work of all foodservice employees in preparing and serving food, and cleaning facilities and utensils in a production kitchen
  • Interact appropriately with residents, clients, other personnel, and the public
  • Respond to customer preferences and industry trends to plan menus, ensuring food is prepared by methods that conserve nutritive value, is palatable and attractive to residents, and of a quality that is acceptable to and meets the needs of residents
  • Take select orders for daily menus
  • Ensure that established sanitation and safety standards are maintained
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation and serving of food
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher positions
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision desired
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) participant or certification preferred
  • Skilled in motivating and supervising foodservice personnel
  • General knowledge and understanding of nutrition
  • Ability to interpret a nutrient analysis spreadsheet of patient meals
  • Knowledge of foodservice program requirements
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Considerable knowledge of quantity food production and serving techniques, food safety/sanitation requirements and procedures
  • An understanding of foodservice program finances
  • Skill in using public relations techniques to promote the foodservice program to clients and residents
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel and the public
  • Two years or more related experience
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products
  • Must live in service area; no relocation costs
