JOB SUMMARY:
Flair bartenders provide an entertaining experience for guests by skillfully manipulating bar tools and liquor bottles in captivating ways. They create a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing a busy bar and fulfilling drink orders.
JOB DUTIES:
- Demonstrate the ability to juggle, toss, and catch bottles.
- Perform comfortably in front of large audiences in diverse settings.
- Welcome patrons and present beverage, lunch, and dinner menus.
- Offer recommendations and respond to inquiries regarding craft beers, happy hour specials, and main menu items.
- Accurately take orders from customers or serving staff.
- Input drink orders into the POS system accurately.
- Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes.
- Prepare fruits for drink garnishing by peeling, slicing, and pitting.
- Mix and garnish cocktails according to established specifications.
- Prepare bills and process customer payments.
- Arrange glasses and bottles in visually appealing and functional displays.
- Maintain cleanliness of glasses, bar equipment, and work areas.
- Manage both bar and assigned bar tables as required.
- Oversee daily inventory for the bar and submit supply orders to the supervisor.
- Follow proper labeling, dating, and rotation protocols for all beverage items.
- Comply with SERVsafe regulations regarding alcohol consumption.
- Understand and adhere to Dram Shop Laws and relevant state alcohol regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Flair/Performance Bartending Certification is mandatory.
- Certification as a Mixologist is required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the customer service sector with a strong passion for service.
- Experience in Night Clubs, Premium Lounges, or High Volume Bars is essential.
- Proficient knowledge of standard drink recipes, spirits, wines, and beers.
- Familiarity with different classes of alcohol, glass types, brand names, and garnishments.
- Understanding of bar equipment is necessary.
- Cash-handling skills and knowledge of cash-out procedures are required.
- Computer literacy, particularly with point of sale systems, is essential.
- Must adhere to strict grooming and appearance standards.
- Ability to tolerate loud music, crowds, and club lighting is necessary.
- Must be capable of standing or walking for extended periods (8-10 hours).
- Ability to work in environments with dust, loud noises, and bright lights is required.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
