Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of Day Surgery, PACU, and Endoscopy Lab, providing guidance and support to staff members to ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Staff Development: Educate and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Consult with staff, physicians, and hospital leadership to resolve nursing issues and implement hospital policies effectively.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead performance improvement activities within the department and participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Assist with the development and adherence to departmental budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and productivity.
  • Patient Care: Maintain a patient-first approach, ensuring that all patient needs are met with the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting, with at least 2 years in a perioperative services role.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills; proficiency with healthcare software and technologies.
  • Certification: BLS and ACLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
