About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer 4 to lead complex engineering assignments in Englewood, CO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of design development, analysis, or review tasks independently.
  • Responsible for complete designs, analyses, or design reviews.
  • Generate complete design specifications for more complex projects.
  • May provide training to less experienced engineers.
  • Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.
  • Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
  • Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits, experimental investigations, and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.
  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
  • Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies.
  • Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
Requirements
  • US Citizen
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent education
  • 7+ years plus of professional experience required
  • Professional Engineering License required
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory codes and standards
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in civil engineering software and integrated application software including Civil 3D
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree in structural engineering
  • Government or nuclear experience, i.e., DOD, DOE, NR
  • Fully understands the process of preparing and checking calculations, as well as, approval, revision, retention, and storage of project calculations
  • Fully understands drawing production and checking, as well as, approval, revision, retention, and storage of engineering drawings
Compensation and Benefits

Amentum offers a competitive benefits package, including a hiring salary range of $93K - $144K annually, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
