Key Responsibilities
Job Overview
The Home and Community-Based Services Aide delivers essential support and assistance with personal hygiene and household tasks, enabling individuals to remain in their residences.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
- Report any observations regarding the client's condition to the Agency Director or account manager. Notify the Agency Director immediately of any incidents or accidents.
- Drive safely, adhere to traffic laws, and wear a seatbelt during business travel.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transferring patients as needed.
- Help with household tasks that are directly related to the clients' personal care.
Qualifications
Experience Required
- Preferred: Six months of experience in home care.
- Successful completion of a competency evaluation.
License Requirements
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and have access to reliable transportation.
Skills Required
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of identified clients.
- Capability to function in any home environment, regardless of the client's age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial situation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
