Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Alliance Community Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services.

Responsibilities
  • Enter and/or verify patient information into our registration system
  • Complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaires for Medicare patients
  • Depart Immediate Care charts and create new ones as needed
  • Request jackets for add-on patients in Mammography
  • Answer phones and overhead pages
  • Memo pertinent billing and insurance information into our system
  • Provide day shift and afternoon shift coverage
  • Coordinate lunch and break periods
  • Ability to multitask patient registration with phone calls
  • Ability to assist patients in wheelchairs and transport if necessary
  • Prompt and regular attendance at assigned facility/area of assignment
  • Ability to interact with patients, employees, and other occupants in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to receive, understand, and implement direction from supervision and management
  • Ability to effectively function within the framework of department and organizational policies and procedures
  • Ability to successfully complete ongoing department and organizational competency requirements
Requirements
  • Ability to type at least 35 wpm
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Work Environment
  • Varied locations and hours as required by the job (generally scheduled for 8-hour shifts)
