Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing press materials, cultivating professional networks, actively pitching and building relationships with media, and developing client strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to daily inquiries from media, acting as an accessible and credible representative of Giant Noise Partners LLC and the clients
  • Display thorough knowledge of media pitching and developing press materials
  • Write a variety of PR and digital content material, including but not limited to pitches, press releases, and social media posts
  • Actively participate in creative brainstorming sessions and offer original ideas
  • Assist in monitoring company, business, and industry trends and communicate effectively up the line keeping managers abreast of issues and opportunities
  • Contribute to client strategy planning with creative ideas
  • Effectively analyze data to provide recommendations on strategy and ROI
  • Develop network of local industry, editorial, and promotional contacts, with a focus on building effective media relationships to aid in securing coverage for clients
  • Effectively manage and delegate to Account Coordinators and interns
  • Lead various aspects of meetings with team leader
  • Plan and implement successful media or special events with supervision
  • Manage the process for drafting and oversee completion of agendas, recap reports, media coverage reports, and monthly reports
  • Accurately track time on a daily basis and flag overages before they happen
Requirements
  • Demonstrate strong writing, editing, organization, and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrate strong client and media relations skills
  • Demonstrate effective organizational skills: juggle multiple tasks at one time, are able to prioritize and meet deadlines, and keep managers aware of project status
  • Proficient using appropriate software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Muckrack, Google Suite, etc.)
  • Work well independently and collaboratively with team members
  • Understand and utilize research techniques
  • Present and interact professionally and strategically with clients and within the agency
  • Proactively seek out innovative growth opportunities and new projects
  • Solve problems effectively, efficiently, and creatively
  • Strive to set and achieve personal objectives and goals
  • Work to understand client's industry, terminology, and competitive set
  • Ability to work in-office and on-site for client events
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19; Ability to provide proof of vaccination
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to four (2-4) years agency experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
