Training Operations Specialist

CapMetro, a pioneering leader in public transportation, is seeking a visionary Training Operations Specialist to join its dynamic team. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a knack for designing and implementing comprehensive training programs that drive exceptional service delivery to customers.
Role Overview
The Training Operations Specialist will report directly to the Director, Eligibility, Training, & Customer Management, overseeing the development, coordination, and oversight of all Demand Response training programs. This includes training internal staff, contracted bus operators, field supervisors, and dispatchers, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to company standards.
This role demands a deep understanding of adult learning theory, allowing the successful candidate to craft engaging training experiences that resonate with diverse stakeholders. By leveraging this expertise, the Training Operations Specialist will foster a culture of continuous learning, driving process improvements and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, curate, administer, and oversee all Demand Response training initiatives, guaranteeing compliance with policies, procedures, and prevailing laws.
- Collaborate with department leadership to identify areas requiring further training, utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain accurate, complete training records, ensuring seamless tracking and evaluation of training effectiveness.
- Manage external consultants, overseeing training programs and ensuring alignment with CapMetro's training objectives.
- Research, design, develop, implement, and administer training programs to enhance employee knowledge, influence behavior, and improve performance.
- Support the Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by ensuring staff adheres to safety and security policies, considers safety in every action, and reports safety and security concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business, or a related field, with relevant experience substituted for a degree on a year-for-year basis for up to four years.
- Five years of professional experience in learning and development, training, education, or a related field.
- Three years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
Salary Range
The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000 - $115,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Location
This role is based in Austin, Texas, and requires relocation to the Austin area prior to the start date.
