Qualifications for Educational Support Specialists:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • Must hold a First Aid and CPR certification
  • QBS and/or Boys Town certification is preferred
  • Experience in a public educational setting is advantageous
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist in upholding classroom regulations.
    • Provide individualized tutoring to students, reinforcing lessons as directed by the educator.
    • Support the teacher by managing and organizing educational materials.
    • Offer assistance to students through positive examples, emotional encouragement, and general guidance.
    • Help monitor student activities as instructed.
    • Collaborate with teachers regarding programs and resources to address student needs.
    • Engage in meetings and training sessions as required.
    • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
