Job Title: Home Health Aide

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Aide to join our team at Bristol Home Care & Hospice Agency Inc. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary:

The Home Health Aide will work under the supervision of a registered professional nurse to provide personal care services and homemaking assistance to clients who require assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to clients who require assistance with daily living activities.
  • Assist clients with medication management, including bringing medication to the client or reminding them to take medication.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and meal preparation, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Assist clients with exercises, ambulation, and transfer activities to promote mobility and independence.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to clients and their families, promoting a sense of well-being and comfort.
  • Document care provided and submit reports in a timely manner to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a CNA or HHA training program of not less than 75 hours and approved by the State of Connecticut Health Services.
  • State of Connecticut C.N.A. licensure required.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance in the amount of $100,000 to $300,000.
Work Environment:

The Home Health Aide will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, to provide care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills, and be able to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
