Craft Brewery Cellar Technician

Work Schedule:

Our Cellar team members typically work between 40 to 45 hours each week, with shifts available on weekdays, weekends, and afternoons/evenings.

Core Responsibilities:

As a member of the Cellar team, you will be integral to the brewing process, ensuring that every batch of beer meets our high standards of excellence. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about brewing and eager to advance their careers in this field.

The Cellar Technician is responsible for various fermentation and conditioning tasks, including:

• Cleaning and sanitizing fermentation and bright tanks.
• Transferring product between tanks.
• Dry hopping and harvesting yeast.
• Pitching yeast and maintaining cleanliness in various areas, including floors and equipment.
• Monitoring tank temperatures and pressures to ensure optimal conditions for fermentation.
• Ensuring appropriate carbonation levels for different beer styles.

Physical Demands:

This position requires physical stamina, as candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs at chest height. The role involves frequent bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, kneeling, and reaching. Applicants should also be comfortable with climbing stairs and ladders multiple times throughout the day, standing for extended periods, and safely handling hot and cold liquids and equipment. Team members of legal age may also participate in quality control tasting panels, allowing them to enjoy the results of their hard work.
