Job Overview

JOIN OUR TEAM AT DESTIHL BREWERY We are expanding our operations and seeking motivated individuals who excel in teamwork. As a Packaging Specialist, you will be integral to the daily setup, operation, and sanitation of our canning and kegging lines, along with the auxiliary equipment used to package our acclaimed craft beers. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conducting quality assurance checks on packaged products (including tasting for those 21+), performing routine maintenance on machinery, managing inventory of packaging supplies, keeping precise records of all packaging processes, ensuring cleanliness in the packaging areas, and other tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various packaging machinery, including bottling, canning, and kegging systems
  • Ensure each container is filled accurately and properly labeled
  • Perform quality assessments to guarantee our products meet the highest standards (for those 21+)
  • Troubleshoot and conduct minor repairs on packaging equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of the machinery and organization within the packaging zones
  • Collaborate with the production team to achieve daily and weekly packaging targets
  • Assist with managing inventory and fulfilling orders

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Physical capability to lift and move heavy items (kegs, cases of beer, etc.)
  • Basic problem-solving skills and some mechanical understanding
  • Able to work in a dynamic, team-focused environment
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts as required
  • Previous experience in packaging or manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift up to 60 lbs. independently and up to 160 lbs. with assistance
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures (cool beer storage and warm production areas)
  • Ability to safely handle commercial cleaning agents
  • Willingness to work on uneven, wet, or elevated surfaces
