Job Description

Market of Choice is seeking a highly skilled Retail Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Loss Prevention department, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveillance and investigations to prevent and detect theft and other security incidents
  • Collaborate with store management and employees to implement security protocols and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies
  • Conduct safety and security audits to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide training and support to store employees on security procedures and protocols

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a security or law enforcement role
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CCTV systems and other security technologies
  • Knowledge of local and state laws related to security and theft
  • Certification in a security-related field (e.g. DPSST)
