Job Summary

Market of Choice is seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Loss Prevention Team, you will be responsible for reviewing surveillance footage, conducting internal and external investigations, and providing security and risk management services to our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveillance for criminal acts and review footage to identify potential security threats
  • Write accurate and precise reports on security incidents and investigations
  • Document criminal acts and build solid cases for prosecution
  • Assist in organized retail crime (ORC) investigations and work with local police departments to prevent and investigate crimes
  • Conduct safety, shortage, and physical security audits to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide security and risk management services to our stores, including testing and implementation of security systems

Requirements:

  • Professional, courteous, and calm attitude
  • Valid OR driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Interest in a career in retail Loss Prevention
  • Excellent observation and planning skills
  • Ability to think clearly under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 18 years or older
  • Availability to work weekends, after hours, and occasional out of town and overnight work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency using MS Office and CCTV operations
  • DPSST Certified
  • Knowledge of local and state law
