Family Support Counselor

Position Overview
- Manage a caseload of 4-6 families, providing personalized support and guidance.
- Deliver individual therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of assigned families, ensuring ongoing assessment and evaluation.
- Engage with families at least three times weekly to foster strong relationships and effective communication.
- Conduct continuous assessments of client needs from a strengths-based, solution-oriented perspective.
- Offer on-call crisis intervention support to youth and families as part of a rotating schedule.
- Collaborate with community stakeholders to promote the success of youth, including participation in court proceedings or meetings with educators.
- Participate in three weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) to enhance professional development and clinical skills.
Additional Information
- Flexible and non-traditional scheduling based on the availability of youth and families served.
- Valid driver's license, personal vehicle for work-related purposes, and auto insurance are required.
- Community-based staff will receive reimbursement for applicable mileage.
- This position qualifies for clinical licensure hours (LPC, LCSW) while working with young individuals.
Compensation
Annual salary of $59,000, contingent upon education and clinical licensure.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Master's degree in a social services discipline.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline.
- Considered degrees include social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will be evaluated for qualification.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience in counseling and/or case management is necessary.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is crucial.
- Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
- Flexibility in scheduling is important.
