Job Summary

CRISPR Therapeutics is seeking a highly experienced Site Head to lead the manufacturing operations at our Framingham site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the short and long-term strategy for drug substance and drug product manufacturing, ensuring the site meets organizational objectives and broad portfolio needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the site's operational strategy, aligning with corporate objectives and ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory guidelines.
  • Lead the local team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Manage the manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficient and effective operations, and maintaining a strong focus on quality and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Control, and Facilities & Engineering, to meet business objectives.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, leveraging Lean-Six-Sigma principles and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
  • Post-graduate scientific degree with 15+ years of experience in CMC/Technical Operations leadership roles in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or vaccines companies.
  • At least 8+ years of senior leadership experience, with a successful track record of effective management.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing site leadership role, preferably in a cell and gene therapy manufacturing facility.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and GMP requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to integrate big picture vision and key details.
  • Demonstrated management, leadership, and coaching expertise.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with cell or gene therapy manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated expertise and technical depth in mRNA processes.
