Job Description

Overview

Vail Resorts is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at The North Face store in Beaver Creek. As a key member of our retail sales and operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of store appearance and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales and Revenue Growth
    • Generate sales and meet or exceed sales targets
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Store Operations
    • Maintain a high level of store appearance and organization
    • Ensure accurate inventory management and control
    • Manage store visual merchandising and display
  • Team Management
    • Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales and customer service goals
    • Provide coaching and training to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge to succeed
  • Inventory and Loss Prevention
    • Manage inventory levels and control stockroom operations
    • Implement and maintain loss prevention procedures to minimize shrinkage
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with store management, sales associates, and other departments
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 2+ years of retail sales and operations experience preferred
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
