CHEP, a leading global supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled Asset Recovery Representative to join our team.
This role is responsible for managing all locations within a given territory without a commercial agreement with CHEP, building relationships with new locations, and managing pallet recycler relationships.
The Asset Recovery Representative will work closely with Logistics Coordinators to schedule 3rd party collections, the Low Volume Recovery fleet to maximize physical collections, and the Asset Protection team to address locations/recyclers not accepting CHEP's ownership rights.
Key responsibilities include visiting, calling on, and building relationships with non-participating distributors, unknown locations, and pallet recycler locations to recover CHEP assets.
Options for asset recovery include the CHEP Low Volume Recovery fleet, CHEP CDL Fleet, CHEP scheduled 3rd party carriers, or personal collection.
The Asset Recovery Representative will utilize CHEP vehicle, laptop, and various databases to monitor flow in and out of their territory, locate, and negotiate the successful return of CHEP assets.
Ultimately, this role requires continuous contact with the local recycler community, responsible for recovering over 17M CHEP pallets nationally last year.
Additional responsibilities include completing company administrative duties, identifying and communicating potential situations of businesses buying/selling CHEP assets illegally, and clearly communicating CHEP's ownership rights.
Requirements include an AA degree or equivalent work experience, ability to obtain a DOT Medical card with no restrictions, prior workplace field experience in Operations, Sales, or Customer Service, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
This role is fully remote and requires the ability to maintain and organize a home office.
