Job Title: Civil Project Manager

At Duit Construction, we are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager to oversee the management and timely completion of multiple civil projects within an allotted budget. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling project activities, directly supervising foremen, and ensuring the timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate crew production through directives given to foremen
* Maintain construction schedule while identifying and solving problems
* Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process
* Ensure that all resources assigned are maintained, protected, secured, and used
* Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately
* Responsible for all employees and contractors adhering to company safety policies
* Work with Project Management to create look ahead reports
* Maintain clean, organized job sites and equipment
* Responsible for daily activities reports and tracking materials
* Maintain quantities and tracking job cost

Requirements:

* Thorough knowledge of heavy highway construction operations
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Basic understanding of estimating and job cost
* Familiarity with the materials, methods, and techniques relative to road/highway construction
* Knowledge of field safety
* Ability to supervise road/highway construction projects from general plans and instructions given and to determine the proper amounts of various materials, tools, and equipment needed
* Ability to understand and interpret engineering plans
* Ability to communicate with others to convey information effectively
* Ability to understand project documents including construction plans, specifications, material data sheets, safety data sheets, and other necessary information
* Ability to keep organized records and to prepare work and time reports
* Ability to understand and efficiently carry out instructions
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources as needed
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
* Ability to work with management to resolve issues that arise on a project
* Must be accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
* Must be able to perform physical activities that may require climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending

Preferred Qualifications:

* 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is strongly preferred
* 5+ years of successful road/highway construction experience
* In-depth knowledge of road/highway construction projects including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower Strong Viewpoint and HCSS (HeavyBid) software skills
* Experience with construction scheduling programs. Preferably in Primavera P6.
* Previous experience with Asphalt Paving, Grading, and General Construction
* Experience in managing City/Municipal/Residential road-building projects
* Project Estimating skills
* Documentation of construction safety training
* Experience with daily operations cost track systems
