Job Overview

Position Title: Housekeeper

COMPENSATION: $16.00 per hour
Full-Time with benefits

GENERAL PURPOSE
This role involves performing a range of basic and semi-skilled tasks essential for the thorough cleaning and upkeep of county facilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execute cleaning and maintenance duties including:
- Vacuuming, mopping, and floor refinishing
- Carpet cleaning and care
- Sweeping, buffing, and polishing hard surface floors
- Washing and sanitizing restrooms and common areas
- Emptying waste receptacles and maintaining cleanliness

2. Monitor and manage custodial supplies, notifying supervisors of any shortages to ensure continuous operations.

3. Operate various cleaning machinery, including:
- Power buffers
- Carpet extraction machines
and mix cleaning chemicals as required for specialized tasks.

4. Conduct security checks of facilities, ensuring doors and systems are functioning correctly and providing access during operational hours.

5. Assist with logistical tasks such as:
- Setting up for events
- Moving and assembling furniture
- Performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license required.
