Overview

At Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital at Lutheran Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care experiences that promote healing and recovery in a compassionate environment.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our per diem day shift team, you will have the opportunity to work with a Nursing Assistant partner to provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care to individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with a Nursing Assistant to handle a manageable case load and help patients achieve outlined goals and milestones on their individual patient care plan.

- Receive admissions and/or transfers, and conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.

- Ensure timely and accurate documentation using EPIC, and interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.

- Transcribe and process medical orders accurately, and promote continuous quality improvement.

- Instruct and counsel patients/families, and ensure that medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.

Qualifications:

- Valid State RN License is required.

- BLS is required at hire.

Preferred qualifications that will make you successful:

- BSN or enrollment in a BSN program is preferred.

- Clinical experience is preferred.
