Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Maple Heights Behavioral Health is a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services, seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in our inpatient hospital setting. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with our medical/clinical staff to provide comprehensive treatment for adults and seniors struggling with acute symptoms of mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic mental health conditions, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychiatric health, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to meet their needs.
  • Chart clinical observations, evaluations, and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to facility guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices, adhering to state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners and maintaining a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
  • Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required.
  • Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates.
  • DEA license.
