Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at Saint Mary's Regional. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Complete full registration in our electronic health record system for all patients
- Schedule and re-schedule patient appointments as needed
- Manage physician work schedules and ensure timely communication
- Collect patient payments and process claims in a timely manner
- Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate financial records
- Follow up on claims that require corrections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or administrative setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass a credit check
