About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Community Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert veterinary care to animals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical care to animals, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and other medical procedures.
  • Work closely with veterinarians and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and compassionate information about their pets' health and treatment options.
  • Assist with patient exams, take medical history, and prepare medications for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and controlled substance logs.
Requirements
  • Current New York State Veterinary Technician License
  • Excellent animal handling and customer service skills
  • Experience using computer software applications
  • Ability to lift and carry 40-plus pounds repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to work standing for 8 or more hours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $32-$40, depending on location. This is a temporary, contingent position, and the person hired will be employed through a third-party staffing agency.

This is an on-site position at our stationary clinics or mobile spay/neuter clinics across the five boroughs of New York City. You will be required to work Monday through Friday and be flexible with your reporting location.
