Operational Data Analyst Specialist

Cherokee Federal is a leading provider of federal contracting services, and we are seeking an experienced Professional Operations Analyst to join our team. As required by our governmental clients, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

The successful candidate will evaluate operational data to support decision-making, using modeling techniques to assess current activities, identify issues, and develop solutions. They will test models, validate results, and prepare reports with proposed solutions and alternatives.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Professional Operations Analyst: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or Python for cleaning, manipulating, and transforming data.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and methods to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Ability to create clear and informative visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to communicate insights effectively.
  • The ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable components and identify root causes.
  • The capacity to evaluate information, identify patterns, and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean.
  • Ability to document and analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Knowledge of process improvement techniques like Lean Six Sigma to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
  • Change Management: Understanding of how to implement changes effectively and minimize resistance.
  • Knowledge of business operations and how they relate to the organization's goals.
  • Basic understanding of financial concepts and metrics to assess the impact of operational decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build relationships.
  • Familiarity with common business applications like ERP systems, CRM software, and data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of automation tools and techniques to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Depending on the industry, candidates may also need to have knowledge of specific regulations, standards, or best practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential for operations analysts.
