**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our Ecosystem Security & Integrity (ESI) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and deployment of the Acquirer Control processes as defined in the Visa Integrity Risk Program.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform underwriting and ongoing monitoring of Acquirers to assess the effectiveness of their controls and processes in onboarding and managing merchants that are active across defined, high-risk merchant activities.
- Review and assess Acquirer policies, procedures, and sample merchant files to ensure compliance with Visa's Integrity Risk Program.
- Conduct periodic risk-based assessments of Acquirers covered under the Visa Integrity Risk program, with ongoing monitoring.
- Assist in conducting on-site Acquirer audits or coordinate audits through third-party vendors.
- Support Visa's Close Monitoring process and coordinate risk and threat management actions vis-a-vis ecosystem participants posing an excessive risk or potential threat.
- Engage with MSA and Account Executives to share intelligence, assess mitigating actions, and ensure clear accountability across functions and/or individuals to drive a consistent and timely remediation approach.
- Work closely with the Visa Integrity Risk Program Management Office to perform periodic industry reviews of high-risk activities and recommend program changes to ensure continuous program effectiveness.
**Requirements**
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
- Visa or Payments industry experience, with focus on Acquirer risk management (including merchant underwriting) and/or financial industry experience with focus on client underwriting.
- Relationship/Client management experience.
- Knowledge or experience in audit or underwriting.
- Flexible and creative thinker with strong execution skills.
