Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management and Compliance Specialist to join our team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our Commercial Banking organization, you will play a critical role in helping us grow our business in a responsible and sustainable way.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risk for our Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries clients. You will work closely with our bankers and product partners to risk grade borrowers, analyze and approve credit requests, structure credit facilities, and negotiate credit agreements and other loan documentation.

You will also be responsible for the continuous monitoring and risk management of an assigned portfolio of credit clients. This will involve developing a deep understanding of the business, financial, competitive, and industry risks faced by our clients and utilizing that view to properly risk grade borrowers, analyze credit requests, structure credit facilities, and negotiate credit agreements and other loan documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage credit risk for Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries clients
  • Work closely with bankers and product partners to risk grade borrowers, analyze and approve credit requests, structure credit facilities, and negotiate credit agreements and other loan documentation
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business, financial, competitive, and industry risks faced by clients
  • Utilize credit analysis and financial modeling skills to underwrite and structure new transactions
  • Manage competing priorities and work well under pressure
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS/BBA degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial banking/lending, including extensive credit analysis, structuring, and loan documentation experience
  • Strong background in credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
