Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a key member of our Customer Service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Process and manage insurance claims, including billing and follow-up
  • Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Review and process accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or insurance-related role
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and collections a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or insurance-related role
  • Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment and maintain a positive attitude
