Position Overview

As a Lead Financial Management Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the financial oversight within the organization. Your expertise will guide senior leadership in the formulation, execution, and refinement of financial management strategies and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary consultant to executive management regarding the establishment and enhancement of financial policies and operational plans.
  • Ensure the strategic and timely allocation of financial resources to fulfill the organization’s objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of budget management and administration.
  • Develop and propose innovative financial management practices, internal controls, and strategic methodologies to support organizational initiatives.
  • Prepare and present analytical reports to senior management on program performance, offering actionable insights to address any discrepancies.
  • Provide expert analysis and interpretation of financial transactions and program performance.
  • Coordinate the collection and reporting of cost and performance metrics to support mission-critical tasks.
  • Manage workload, prioritize tasks, and ensure the timely completion of high-priority projects without compromising ongoing responsibilities.
  • Conduct interviews and make recommendations regarding hiring and promotions.
  • Address and resolve employee grievances, escalating unresolved issues to higher management as necessary.
Position Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Eligibility for federal employment must be established.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.
  • Compliance with E-Verify employment verification is required.
  • Time-in-grade requirements must be satisfied for current federal employees.
  • Retired military personnel must adhere to specific appointment regulations.
  • Registration for Selective Service is required for males born after a certain date.
  • Obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance as a condition of employment.
  • This role requires achieving Financial Management Level III certification within specified timelines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including to remote locations.
Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which includes:

- Evaluating control objectives and risks within a large organization.
- Conducting integrated risk assessments at the business process level.
- Executing internal control assessments, including data collection and analysis.
- Assessing the performance of assigned staff or peers.
