Medical Data Abstractor

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Registry Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing concurrent and retrospective abstraction of medical records, reviewing patient data, and communicating with healthcare providers and patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Abstract medical records accurately and efficiently
- Review patient data and identify areas for improvement
- Communicate with healthcare providers and patients via electronic medical records or phone
- Maintain tracking of patient lists, outreach, and follow-up
- Offer support and education to clinicians and patients on workflows and protocols
- Work with supervisors and directors to develop and implement procedures that support organizational goals
- Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or School of Nursing
- Current Massachusetts LPN licensure in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Nursing
- Experience in application of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft and Excel
- Knowledge of EMR's such as Epic
Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position
